I will forever hate the Bush years for the deleterious effects on actual science. Imagine: medicine could be 8+ years ahead of where we are now. Actual human trials with stem cells could have been beginning now. Gah.

I consider all religion to be nothing but an impediment to modern human progress.

I'm just glad he's gone now and we can use the experience to try to move forward. Now we just have to get through the mob of his fans. I seriously wish there was something I could put in a water supply that would make a population just a few IQ points smarter. If only...
