The whole MattDaphneSoulmates thing was one big what the fuck moment for me as I thought Daphne had oodles more chemistry with Ando.

I'm really holding out hope that the show is going to explore this; there have been a lot of hints at Matt and Daphne's relationship being less than ideal, and my absolute favourite scene of V3 was Matt's look of resignation as Daphne sided with Ando and Hiro about destroying the formula (I can't recall it very well at the moment, but I definitely got the vibe that Daphne was more comfortable with Hiro and Ando). Daphne kind of acts like Matt is her dad, which even for this show is creepy. :/

Hey wow! I'm not a huge fan of Matt/Daphne, and not really into Daphne/Ando either, but this was such a nice characterization of Daphne. I like your insight into how her powers effect her personality and life choices. The line about being a magpie was clever and evocative. And the reference to the time-travel power Daphne and Ando can have together was interested-- looks like you remember how to use characters' powers better than the writers do, sometimes! Well done.
