[The journal clicks on. There's the sound of someone chewing on the other end, and a bit of sauce drips on the page. Seems he found a plate of burgers on the table. They're a bit cold, but nothing a little heating up in the microwave can't handle. Good thing he comes from a modern world that knows how to use them, huh

They're alright. Probably would have been better if they were still fresh.

Hey, burgers never go stale! They just get cold, and a microwave fixes that problem!

I've never heard of anything like that. . . What's in them, then?

[He takes another bite of the burger. Gotta taste it and break it down...]

Hmm... Beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles... [If you listen closely, you could probably faintly hear the swooshing of food around in his mouth.] ...Some spices to give it some flavor, ketchup... All on a sesame bun.

Ah, I suppose I wouldn't mind the cold either, for a sandwich like that.

Don't even really know how to cook.

That's true. I've never met anyone who talked about sauces and wasn't a cook before, is all.
