They're Back: An English Encounter (Day 9)

My dad was able to get us a 2 pm check-out from the hotel, but we still had to get up fairly early so we could have breakfast and then start packing. As the past two mornings we had had breakfast at the hotel, we wanted to try the big McDonalds everyone had been talking about at the hotel. But we could never find it! So instead we went to a Denny's which isn't as amazing as everyone seems to think it is. But the waiter was very nice and accommodating. After that my sister wanted to go to Petsmart. So my dad dropped Nic and me off at the hotel. When they got back it was pretty much time to leave. Before we headed to the airport we stopped at Walgreens and I got some snacks for the plane. As as another bottle of dramamine (this was the drowsy formula) as I had lost the other one. They also had a little English section! So I got myself a beuno chocolate bar and a bottle of my favorite orange drink.

After that we headed to the airport where we dropped the car off at the rental place they have set up there. We didn't go through security right away and instead looked around the shops they had out there. It's such a nice set up at the Orlando airport! I felt like I was in a mall! They had a Universal Studios gift shop, so I got one of my friends back home a Thing 1/Thing 2 key chain. At the check out counter they had real, freeze dried bugs! BLEGH! I also discovered that they had a LUSH store there but was able to restrain myself from buying anything. They had a dog store there and I just had to get Simba a cute cookie that was in the shape of a t-shirt with 'I (paw) FL) on it. After that we checked in our bags and went through security. We found out that our plane was dlayed for an hour, but Andrea was nice enough to let Nic and me use her laptop. There were also some nice comfy seats that had outlets so we sat there and RPed (a great way to pass the time). I got some sbarro pizza for dinner and had my dramamine for the flight.

The laptop helped make the time fly by and soon enough we boarded the plane. This time we were further in the back of the plane. And there was a family in front of us. The two young boys were fighting with each other and I felt like we were in for a long flight. Thankfully they settled down and it really didn't take long for us to take off. The dramamine seemed to work a hell of a lot better this time! Nic and I pretty much talked the entire time ride as I wasn't feeling as sick as I had on the way. The little boy in front of me seemed to become interested in me and kept looking back. And I kept him entertained as it meant he was less likely to yell and argue with his brother. The male fight attended at one point came over and leaned against the seat and asked if my sister and me were twins. We told him 'yes' and he said 'that's cool' in a nonchalant, Johnny Bravo sort of way. I jokingly informed him that he we'd do freaky twin magic tricks and he said he'd think up a trick before winking at me. Is this guy for real?! And why did I give him that little bit of ammo? He came back a little while later and teased me about having cheez-its instead of eating the snack they provided. He then of course had to wink at me again! And then informed me that the five year old in front of me was checking me out. Yeah, ok! When we got off the plane he winked at me again. I'm thinking he's a very lonely man as I swear he was like twice my age. We didn't get home until around midnight and Sim was so excited to see us! I missed Long Island. :)
