They're Back: An English Encounter (Day 6)

Jul 05, 2010 12:46

Today we glew to Florida! Of course as we were leaving the house, our nosey neigbor had to keep consantly wandering by. The set up at the airport was totally different ahtna at JFK. You actually checdked in for your flgith outside. Maybe they were working on something inside? We didn't have to wait around too long thankfully! When we went thorugh security Iw as stupid and put my ID and ticket into the bucket where I put my belongings. I couldn't find my ID and started panicking, but thankfully they found it! Given where we were seated, we were in the first group to board our plane! Andrea sat in the window sea, I got the middle and Nic was on the aisle. My dad sat across the aisle so he wasn't too far away from us. I took dramimine this time which did seem to help my nausea a bit. Especially if I looked directly out the plane when we took off. My sister was clearly nervous when we first took off but soon relaxed and said she wanted to do it again! LMAO! We got our luggage pretty easily as well once we landed in Florida, but did have trouble trying to find out if there was a shuttle that would take us to our hotel. Unfortunately there wasn't, so we had to pay for a taxi. At least it wasn't expensive although the woman we had was odd! She didn't talk to us at all and she had a portable DVD player with some movie playing where this couple were close to getting it on! O.O I really didn't feel like I was in Florida until we took the ride to the hotel. The amount of palm trees down there is insane! It was definitely humid like it is up in New York, so that was nothing different for me. The hotel is pretty damn awesome! The staff were super helpful and the set-up was nice to say it was a smaller hotel! Andrea brought her laptop with her and she can use internet in the room, lobby and restaurant for free! We're in room number 135 which means we're on the ground level, which is fin by me. Even though our view from the room is the parking lot, I don't mind! There's a nice lobby and a little arcade room. Not to mention HOT TUBS. Hell yes! You know where I'll be. :D We asked one of the staff where there was a good place to eat and walked about two miles down the road to this Chinese place. It was an authentic one which I think made the food taste even better! Our waitress was so nice, even though she had a hard time understanding Nic! When we left we walked out into, shock shock, RAIN! Thankfully there was a Walgreens near by so we stopped in there to get some rain ponchos! Now we're back at the hotel definitely feeling the tiredness piling on. Hopefully I sleep well as I don't like sleeping in new/different places. Wizarding World of Harry Potter tomorrow! Hell YES! :D
