Last week I emailed my beta asking if she was up for looking at a fic and because she's wonderful she said sure, go ahead. Then work got busy and I didn't have time to wonder why I haven't heard back (and obviously there's thoughts like "Well, probably it needs a lot of work." See, I thought of that (she's even from Jack's time!). I don't know how they'd get around the fixed point in time problem. The Doctor can see that; Utopia made it clear (to me, anyway) that it makes him look freaky to the Doctor. And she couldn't be Jack from before that, because The Empty Child is pretty obviously the first time they meet. Although obviously there could be some body-swapping going on (which would mean Jack definitely isn't the Face of Boe.:)

I think Jack tried to fix his immortality, and it turned him into a woman. Which is why the Doctor can't sense him. I mean, her name is an anagram of "Revs Groin." Tell me that's not a name Jack would have picked for himself!

(In DW it's all about the anagrams, you know.)
