It's just so plausible, isn't it? Brr. Peter and Sylar are clearly meant to mirror each other (I don't think it's a coincidence that Sylar gets super hearing the same week Peter masters invisibility, making him effectively immune to invisibility). Peter is everything Sylar wants to be, and he does it without even trying. If anyone on Heroes is going to develop a real, comic book style archenemy relationship, I think it's those two.
I worry about Claude. Mentoring the young hero is always incredibly dangerous, and Peter is way too dumb to see a threat coming.
It really, really is. You're absolutely right about the mirror relationship, and I suspect that was why Claire was so important - in an eventual showdown, whatever they do to each other, Peter can come back from it. Well, except maybe if he does explode.
Have you read the comic with Peter's dream? I'm still holding out hope that Peter will defeat Sylar only to go bad himself - it would rock muchly. (And there's the eternal question of what will happen when Peter meets Nikiessica.)
No, I haven't gotten around to reading the comics yet. I plan on it, especially since there's apparently a lot on Hana there.
As much as Sylar creeps me out, he's a great villain, and I hope we're not rid of him anytime soon. Just strictly from a storytelling view, the show needs him to balance out Peter. They've put a check on Hiro by showing that his power hinges on his confidence and can't changed everything, but Peter's so much more powerful than everyone but Sylar.
And there's the eternal question of what will happen when Peter meets Nikiessica
Which I'm certain is why they haven't met.:) I like the idea that Sylar eats her brain and gets a good twin, myself (I'm about done with Niki. She and D.L. can get killed, and Micah can meet Claude on the road somewhere and form a super-thieving duo). Her story is still so much smaller than everyone else's, and I feel like the show treads water everytime she's on.
