I just started Splinter of the Mind's Eye and man, it is uncomfortable hearing Luke rhapsodize about Leia. Obviously the book came out in 1978 and Alan Dean Foster had no way of knowing that ROTJ would fill his book with creepy subtext, but still. It felt like the whole story ground to a halt when it moved to her. At least Jessica was proactive.

Oh, horrid incestual subtext.

If you've ever seen the comic series they did of SOTME, actually watching Luke slap Leia down was hillarious, subtext and all.

The whole sequence where he almost kisses her while she's sleeping is so creepy. Hilarious, but creepy.
