I enjoyed this a lot; Claude's humor and anxiety over what he might be turning into and Bennet's natural Bennet-ness was great. That quick turn-around once he has that scotch in him, enticing Claude, was really nice. Cool fic :)

"Almost five months." There was pride in the words, but Claude could also hear the barely disguised terror and had to work very hard not to laugh at Bennet's distress.

*snort* That, I can visualise perfectly.

"I 'spose it started to go bad when we knocked on the door and the kid's dad pointed a shotgun at you." He shook his head. "I fucking hate precogs."

LOL!

It helped to think of him as "the target," or "the kid," rather than Dennis Reilly, which was the name on his reference file. "The Target" was someone with a dangerous ability who had almost killed his partner. Dennis Reilly was a scared seventeen-year-old who took nine minutes to die.

Really like the little details in this. Nice fic! :)

I doubt Claude's opinion of precogs changes much later on, either.:) Thank you!

You gave both of them such beautiful realness. The little details gave a great view into what their daily life was like in a really subtle way.

Great story.

I love the last line - I love all of it, but that's a really nice "button". I really like the little touches of naturalness and reality in the descriptions and dialogue, Claude's disillusionment setting in (plus, his little slide from the back of the convertible into the back seat was incredibly sexy), and I love Bennet trying to be confident and utterly failing.

It took me so long to figure out an ending, so thank you for that.:)
