Not quite as good as Look, Up in the Sky, but still very enjoyable. As always you create brilliant parallels from the show's aspects, plot devices, and themes.

I also love that you've done something very, very few Supernatural authors do: call on how sick and evil it really is for angels to take human vessels, AND say outright that is makes them no better than demons. If angels didn't need permission, most of them would just take vessels without a second thought. Since they can't, they resort to lies and manipulation, making the human believe they're contributing to some just, divine cause.

Actually, they're worse than demons since they combine evil with copious amounts of self-righteousness.

While angels like Cas would be more than open to another, less harmful way of walking the Earth--something most of his brethren wouldn't give two craps about--I like how you still keep him remorseful and self-righteous. A part of him does understand what he's doing, but he avoids thinking about it since the alternative is facing the fact that
