Aww yiss. I love the friendships here and how you portrayed Clint's issues after the mind-control. Awesome.

Clint's aftermath is one of the angstiest, cruelest elements of this fandom and one of my very favorite things to see turned into fanfic. This was a beautiful take. You know what it seemed to me that Clint was doing, in the way he took reassurance that his teammates could take him out if need be? It felt very like someone discovering they liked being the sub part of a dom/sub relationship, and found themselves surprised by this discovery, and so spent their time creating an environment where they could be assured they were in the role that suited them best--kind of a psychological feng shui of it all, if that makes a lick of sense.

"routinely programmed sleeper personalities into their agents and we have no idea what the trigger phrase might be?"
Clint feels like the floor just dropped from under him. "Is that true?"
"It's a hypothetical, Barton. Keep up."

That in particular was a great piece of "wake up, you dope" to hit Clint with. I loved the whole story!
