I did not know how much I wanted to read 2014!Cas/Anna until I saw this fic. And now I'm gonna read it AGAIN. *g*

Anna as part of who Cas used to be--not just the part of him that was an angel, but also the part of him that was *functional*, able to care about the world/people around him--and he *invokes* her, but of course she doesn't last because she's drug-induced, so all she really does is *torture* him, and aaahhh, Cas, you HORRIBLY SCREWED UP EX-ANGEL, YOU.

This was beautiful, heartbreaking, and hot all at once. I can very much see it happening this way and I love the idea of Anna being in Cas' head, but still doing what Anna does best (which is tell him what he needs to hear instead of what he wants to hear).
