On the roster of annoying female side-characters that shows like SPN can throw out, I actually don't dislike Lisa. My problem with her isn't actually with her as a character, but moreso that I feel the writers pretty much failed her character. Given the potential shown us in her season 3 introduction to be a good personality match for Dean, even or especially as a civilian, I think they dropped that ball in season 6. Which is a shame, because they make her and Ben such an integral milestone for Dean's development this past season. Okay, her role *is* basically just a foil for his hunter lifestyle, he wants out- she's the furthest thing from that which he wants out of- yeah I get it, but the writers want us to have this big emotional reaction to her and Dean's split, which just falls flat (still upsetting, but a lot for different reasons than I think the show intended). They push too hard for this sense of normalcy that her personality suffers by the wayside. She could have still been spunky like we saw in season 3 (Ben, too, for

Oh jeeze! This was amazing in so many ways. Never ever considered LISA as a matchmaker for Dean and Cas, but oh god, it works so well.

I'd been thinking casually of a threesome with them for a while, but most of the fic I've found has been PWP and not exactly fulfilling, but THIS! I love how you built up the relationships between all three of them and how important Lisa became to Cas.

And then, oh wow, the phone calls while Cas was being tortured just tugged my heart in all the right places.

If this had happened in the show I would have liked Lisa a whole lot more, for sure.
