My latest wip is somewhat different for me in that I have no outline. None whatsoever. Most of the time I have at least some vague idea where I'm going, but there's been so much stress and botheration involved with other aspects of life in the past few months that it's been fun this time around to just let my imagination follow its own bliss, ( Read more... )

It was fun once I got past the sheer terror :) I had anxiety attacks the whole night before. My knees shook all the way into the building, and yet all I did was sit in the back and be invisible. I was so glad it wasn't me up there! How do you guys do it?

I've put scenes on different colored index cards so I can get an overview of the story's pace--like blue for slow paced scenes, red for action scenes. But I've never played with characters that way. I could be fun. Deep in my head I do think each character already has a color.

Glad you had a fun day away from home!

I tried assigning colors to characters before, but it didn't work as well that time around as it seems to now. Maybe it's because my plot is a little more complex this time (at least it seems that way to me :)

One of the best parts of the day was being able to roam around Barnes & Noble for two hours with no one tapping feet at me! And I bought three books!

The kids were great! As were you, the school, Mona, and the time I got to spend in the bookstore. It was just an awesome day in every way :)
