Valentine's Day with Claire.

When Michael woke up on Valentine's Day, the first thought in his head was Claire and the day they'd be able to spend together. With that thought, he hopped out of bed, showered quickly and padded down to the first floor in search of her. He wanted to get this day started as quick as humanly possible.

She was exhausted after her time away, and so after arriving back home, she had taken a shower and proceeded to collapse into bed. She wanted to be well rested and in a good mood when she saw Michael, so she figured a little nap would do her some good. She wouldn't be too hard for him to find, however, as she didn't tend to hang around many places inside the house.

When he found her on her bed, he crept quietly in the room and slid carefully onto the bed so he wouldn't disturb her sleep. Leaning down, he kissed her cheek lightly and waited for her to wake.

She stirred a little as she felt weight shift on the bed, and mumbled in her sleep. She curled in tighter upon herself, until the kiss to her cheek caused her to actually wake up. Cracking an eye open, she rolled over to face him, offering him a sleepy grin. "Hey."

She reached over to run fingertips along his cheek, and leaned in so she could kiss him. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too," he met her lips, sliding an arm around her and pulling her close to him. He missed feeling her in his arms, even if it hadn't been too long since he'd seen her. "Welcome home."
