Oliver stared at him for a moment and then narrowed his eyes. "You're not even funny," he informed him with a glower.

Michael laughed again, shaking his head. "You'll be fine. Besides, Chloe won't let you drop the baby, none of us will. All you'll have to worry about is spoiling her too much."

He pursed his lips, shaking his head a little and focusing on the wall once more. "Were you spoiled?" he asked curiously.

"Not in the way that we got everything just handed to us without asking," Michael said slowly, thinking about it as he moved along the wall. "I mean, we got what we asked for. Well, you know, except for our dad."

Oliver fell silent for a moment at that, rolling his roller over the wall, as well. "Right," he murmured.

He smiled faintly, nodding. "I hope so. It's kind of weird, you know?"

"I wouldn't doubt that," Michael drew in a breath and let it out slowly. "But I'm pretty sure you'll be ready when she gets here."
