Mia left a note tacked to the fridge at Watchtower detailing how she got invited to the Senior Social Studies trip to Seattle at the last minute and would be in the loving care of her teachers until late Monday night.

Love and kisses, Mia.

She made sure to ask a girl in her class to sign her name to the form just to make it all seem official in case Chloe went snooping. Part of Mia felt a little guilty for lying to them, but she was going out of her mind with boredom and she knew Ollie never would have let her tag along with Michael on the hunt if she'd asked. Mia needed to prove herself a fighter again, after Slade had...well, after Slade. And this was just the way to do it.

With a red duffle bag full of clothes and her bow and arrows (just in case), Mia snuck out of the Watchtower and slipped into the passenger seat of Michael's car.

Michael gave her a smile when she got in, turning the car on and pulling away slowly. When they were out on the road, he finally spoke. "I'm guessing everything went off okay since you're here."

"They sleep in on weekends," Mia said, smiling back and rolling the window down so she could feel the breeze on her fingers. "It's easier to lie in note form. Besides, I have my cell phone if they need to call me. It's not like I went AWOL."

"True, note form's a pretty good way to lie. Then they can't get too suspicious and ask more questions than what you've already said on paper," he pressed down a little more on the gas as he got on the freeway. He nodded a little at the mention of the cell phone. "Yeah, Ollie had me promise to check in with him every day. Might not be a bad idea to do just to lay down a little more cover."
