Now you're making ME blush! *g* Thank you so much, you already know I love your icons so I am flattered that you like mine. I'm really pleased the softness works for you, I have such a hard time getting my sharpening right! I think I improved with this batch though (I hope) <3
None of these look to sharp or blurry to me. I've recently discovered the Reduce Noise filter and it's so much better than all the other filters I've used before. No pixelating or jagged edges. I guess what I like most about this batch is that you did something special with textures, cropping or lighting in every icon, which imo, is essential in b/w icons.
I'm really pleased to hear that! I think I remember using that filter once or twice, now that you've recommended it I'd really like to take a proper look at it. I find jagged edges can be a real problem and sometimes go over them with the blur tool to smooth it out, but that can be a nuisance. I try to use the unsharp mask or smart sharpen where I can to try and minimize those issues, as you can adjust the threshold. When I was making this batch I was determined to use a wide variety of styles and make each one unique, so I'm delighted that you picked up on that, thank you! I agree 100% about b&w icons, they often need that extra something to make them stand out, especially in a batch of colourful icons.
Thank you so much! I'm really pleased you like #5; even though it looks simple I took forever fussing over it and I still wasn't sure about it when I finished.
Oh goodness, really?! I'm delighted you like it; I really loved this coding and then I just threw the background image together, lots of texture abuse, haha.
