I thought about mirrorbrothers the other day, and I had been considering dropping you guys a line.

I really like this AU. Sora's charming as a white mage, and Xurik's character is an opportunity to explore Riku without all the baggage (or the stupid slouch from KH2). I'd love to see what life would be like for Xurik if he went into Twighlight Town while combining with Riku.

Well, Xurik has very little baggage. Whitemage!Sora has lots. I dunno if I've managed to make it quite as much as Riku had in canon, because he has more baggage than Delta's lost and found and Sora's naturally less apt to get so caught up in things. But I tried.

And I've been thinking about doing Twilight Town. The hard part is figuring out whether Xurik and Axel would have been friends the same way Roxas and Axel were, and if so, what that would be like. I have trouble with Axel.

No, Sora's not going to get hung up over things the way Riku does. But unrequeted love is a lot of baggage to carry. If I remember correctly, didn't Riku mostly follow the same path in this timeline? He still went with Malificent and Sora still went with Donald and Goofy, correct? And Ienzo is running around somewhere...

When reading Reflection I got them impression that Xurik was _not_ attached to any of the other members of the Organization. Axel... I just can't see Axel and Xurik hitting it off. Axel and Roxas both needed and desired to connect with other people, and I feel that that's why they bonded. But Xurik is missing the kind of dynamic that Roxas had. I've always believed that Sora/Roxas has a special something to him that draws in. I'm not sure if Riku has that trait. In KH1 Riku expected others to follow him. He's arrogant. Sora charms others into follow him, unconciously.

If Axel didn't bond with Roxas, perhaps he would have eventually become attached to Namine? As he attacks Xurik in Twighlight Town, perhaps he's also searching for her? Or he could maybe get the chance to meet and get to know Sora.
