Yep, I'm awake at 8am on a Saturday morning. Why? Not sure. I was pulled out of a slightly disturbing dream by sudden stomach cramps that disappeared as quickly as they appeared. Neil Cicierega's English, as far as I can tell. And I wonder if The Mars Volta should count, what with looking like they're from outer space and all the Spanish stuff.

I recommend the whole The Last Vampire series. You know the kind of quality you can expect from Pike. Writing in general: not great. Storytelling: Yowza!

Neil is English? Hmm, I shall need to investigate that...

The Mars Volta are just American enough to count. After all, both María and Margrét are on the list and they're only half American.

Wicked Heart? No. I read most of the Pike books I could find at my local library. Which wasn't that many, really.

Dunno 'bout Wicked Heart (haven't seen it around) but See You Later was awesome! I bought it from Amazon last year. :-D I don't remember Last Act that well, but I didn't like it anywhere near as much as TheLast Vampire or Remember Me or The Starlight Crystal.
