Regenesis didn't even enter into my mind. I was expecting N3, Criminal Minds, or an Eric Stoltz movie. But when I saw that there were nearly 1050 entries, I gave up hope on reading through them and trying to find which was yours. Instead, I've been reading your Comcast page for the last two days.
FWIW, I think your Criminal Minds fic is the best piece of fan fiction I've read and considerably better than a lot of published literary fiction I've read. Your presentation of Reid was so brilliantly flawless. I'm normally a Numb3rs girl all the way, but if you ever wrote more Reid CM fic, I think I might explode in happiness.
Happy New Year, Miriam. I'm going to go read your fic now.
Was there an Eric Stoltz request? Because wow, I totally should have made one (or two or three). And that reminds me that this year, I totally resolve to take another stab at my The Triangle epic and post it even if it turns out to be stuck at sucks.
Re: CM, thanks! I might eventually write another, because I do like the show a tremendous amount. I mostly tried it to see if I could write what I wanted to read and hadn't yet found (selfishness being a great motive for writing in a microfandom). Clearly, I have a thing for really bright men who can talk their way into paper bags better than they can find their way out of them.
Hello there! I just wanted to thank you for writing such a wonderful story, I dearly love ReGenesis and cannot tell you how glad I am that someone finally wrote a Bob story, I have been waiting a very long time. The story was fantastic, it went right into my favorites folder for safe keeping. Thank you!
You're welcome! I watched both seasons all at once this year in a spree, and I immediately went looking to see if I could find some Bob (or, even better, some Bob/David), and ended up convinced I would have to try it myself (and I always wonder, when I don't see something out there, if maybe there isn't a good reason, like people tried and it just wouldn't work). Thank goodness Yuletide gave me an excuse!
David's hot and terribly fun to write, but in RL, he'd scare the hell out of me. Bob's definitely a challenge, but I think in RL, I'd be in *love* with him because he's both brilliant and sweet and just that touch of bitchy.
Heh. That story finally made me go and, uhm, *acquire* ReGenesis, and let me tell you, that was one of the best things that happened to me in December. So, really, you made me a happy, happy camper XD
I have yet to "acquire" it. I downloaded it two eps at a time and watched them and purged them and downloaded two more, etc. I didn't have time or patience to try to burn two at a time to a CDR (and I don't have a DVDR) and I was so instantly addicted that I needed to know what came next.
So I still want to get them on DVD so I can watch them all again.
To write the story, I re-downloaded a couple, just so I could listen to the voices again (and, um, stare at Peter Outerbridge wearing only a guitar, because wow, that kills me ded every time).
I'm happy to share the tent with another happy camper is what I'm saying *g*.
