A/N: First person point of view~
Fitness with Yoochun
“Heads up!” the familiar voice yells as I duck and narrowly avoid a soccer ball whizz by my head.
I look towards the offender and see a grinning Yoochun, clad in a white polo and shorts, waving a few feet away with his black curly hair pulled into a messy pony.
“You did that on purpose!” I holler, but smile in the end.
“Just a greeting for my favorite person to bother” he winks. The flirt.
Thankfully, I didn’t have to come up with a retort since a blur runs by and jabs Yoochun in the side. He yelps and staggers on his feet, making me hold my stomach in peals of laughter.
“Thanks Soo young!” I say heartily, Yoochun says sarcastically.
“No prob!” she beams at me. “You deserved it~” she sticks her tongue out at Yoochun, then continues dribbling the ball across the field.
Yoochun makes a scene limping over to where I stand, as I was attempting to balance a ball on my knee. He puts a hand on his side, the other on my shoulder. I shrug him off.
“Oh come on now you big baby” He whines and gives it up.
“Ayy girl” he whisks the ball from my knee and twirls it like a basketball on a finger. “So, how’d the morning class go?”
“Horrible” I groan.
“Told you to take that hot young prof-”
“No you perv, that’s not the reason. I missed my alarm and my morning coffee and nearly fell asleep.”
“That happens” he shrugs, eyes on the ball being passed between us. “You know you’re not a morning person, why didn’t you take afternoon classes?”
“Because there were none with the lab. I want to take this class and get it over with”
“Bet you miss me in that class, I’d keep you awake.”
“Knowing you, you’d be conked out next to me and snoring!” I grin. “Besides, I met someone who’ll make me stay awake...”
“I see” Yoochun quirks up a corner of his lips, knowingly.
The instructor blows the whistle, we all gather around. He says today its just going to be running. A group of small children will be learning soccer in the grassy middle-field today. Some girls, including Soo Young go “aww” and the guys laugh. The instructor shakes his head, blows the whistle, and tells us to start at our own pace, not timed.
“So how’s your music morning class?” I ask him.
Yoochun bobs up and down as he runs, then corrects his footing so it lessens and he runs more smoothly. His pace quickens a bit.
“Though I’m not a morning person...that class has me awake. I like it.”
“So you’re up to the point where you’re self-composing, right? You music major you” Teasingly, I yank the elastic bang off his pony so his wavy hair ends up bouncing around his face.
“Let it out Beethoven, leeeeet iiiiiit ooooout” I bellow, making him laugh and clutch his stomach.
“Yeah its a graduate level course, but not self composing. I paired up with two others for this project. We seemed to hit it off and are coming up with a lot of ideas. Dolphin likes composing upbeat songs while Elephant prefers the ballads.”
“And what would your nickname in the group be?”
“...monkey”
We both laugh. He's a funny monkey though, since we were kids.
Suddenly a small ball rolls by. A child chases after it as the kindergarten teacher calls after him. “Mason! Mason! Come back here! Don’t go near the big kids, I’ll get the ball!”
Without missing a beat, Yoochun fluidly bends down, picks up the ball and trots over. He beams down at the child, who blankly stares up at the tall, radiating-friendliness hyung. Then he smiles a toothy grin and waddle-runs back to the teacher.
Yoochun and I exchange a “d’awww” look but before we say anything, the instructor blows the whistle.
“Class time’s up! I don’t care where you are but sprint to the finish! Now!”
Yoochun whoots and we both fly like bullets, reaching the finish in seconds gasping and laughing.
