good to see you again mirei! For me these past few years have been a real struggle because more n more subbers stopped or changed fandoms so I, as one of the ppl who will never be fluent in japanese, were stuck with raw clips they dont grasp the meaning of. Nowadays i olny see korean stuff be subbed and this makes me real sad. what do you think about it ?
Hello!! Welcome back!! I too haven't used Livejournal in years. Said my last time logging in since today was 2014. That's when I was last in Japan. Hope that you've been well!! I completely agree with carey_chan. YouTube is really no help with Japanese stuff, clips and videos are always deleted right away. Crunchyroll hasn't put any new JDramas up since 2016. Everything is seriously KDramas this, Kpop that. Of course I do love Korean shows, music, and dramas. But it's easier to find Taiwanese stuff than Japanese stuff these days. It's very sad really.
I used to watch as many subbed Arashi video's as possible, but now it's only 1 or 2 a month, so sad. I have never learned Japanese and I can understand one or two words here or there (from watching subbed videos) but following an entire show or even a single conversation isn't something I can understand.
And I can guarantee that we still NEED subbers, I have a very large Arashi library of subbed shows/concerts/PV's and thru word of mouth new fans somehow get this info, so I get emails and messages from newer Arashi fans and begging me to share some of my videos. So much in-fact that I don't have the room to upload on Mega or Mediafire any longer.
So I think as long as there is an Arashi there will be a need for subbers, new fans are finding them every day.
