Well, I was bored and spent most of the day reading through my lj. Lots of entries for me from 2003 - 2007, but only a month or so in 2008-9. That is when I quit writing and doing art, just one long period of uninspiration, I guess. What amazes, is how I found the time to do all that I did in those first 4 years. Was the fandom truly that small ( Read more... )

Hey, thanks for the welcome. I sent a reply to your message. Let me know your thoughts. I'll never quit loving LOTR, just hid from the public for a bit.

Oh dear,

I am new to lj messaging. I believe I sent my reply to your PM to lj_notification. *Head to desk* So, uh...how do I re-send without broadcasting what I write to the whole universe?

Welcome back :)

There are still some of us LotR diehards out there, though I have to confess my writing has taken a bit of a nosedive lately. The muses, it seems, are taking an extended break :P

*hugs*

Thanks for the welcome back. As to muses, don't I know the feeling, mine are still on break. Funny though, they hit at the most unexpected times. I am sure you will be back on track soon.

Well I have missed you and was worried for a while but it is good to see you back. As for the writing and finding time and inspiration I am at a loss. I have been playing World of Warcraft, working, and taking care of family. Short of that I usually manage to work sleep in there but no time for anything else. Why is it when you are young time drags on? However when you need more time it flies by unbelievably fast?

Heya!

Missed you too, and thanks! I don't know where time goes. We used to RP for HOURS and still manage to write stories, keep house, raise kids and relax. It has not been that long ago, what gives? Btw, wanna RP? (Wink)

Thanks for the welcome back, I missed you guys also. Btw, I am starting Web of Darkness. Will let you know my thoughts once I've finished a few chapters.

Thanks. :)
Dratted story has grown sooo long, and I frequently run into blocks with it. Two more chapters would be needed to finish it, but I've been sitting on those two chapters forever. :(

I hope you'll stay around this time. The Net wasn't the same without you. Too many people whom I considered friends have vanished from cyberspace in these recent years.

I definitely am back for good and enjoying the feeling. And yes, many old friends have moved on, so sad. I did intend to start reading Web of Darkness, still do, but got sidetracked by Gildor Inglorion. I told you I read Dreamwalkers, then I found Awakening. But before starting on it I had to go back and read Seaside Conversations and the prequel-sequels -- whatever -- that you have scattered all over creation, sigh. And of course, now that I read all of those, I must read more of your stories about Celebrimbor, lol. And then I will move on to Web of Darkness, as I have been yearning for more since The Prisoner.

As to Awakening, I love how you ended Gildor/Celebrimbor. Once Celebrimbor made his decision, and how could he have made any other, you left the Awakening to the imagination. Well, on one level, at least. Perfect, for I am not sure words could have described the moments that followed. I did not really mean to give my impressions here but ah well, just know I truly enjoyed the series.

Mira! Oh my, you have no idea how much I have missed you!

I have never been a very regular person on LJ, so after your prolongued absence I admit I stopped checking and unfortunately missed when you showed up again in 2008-9, but I am so glad to see you here! I really really am.

I have not been on YM anymore because it hates me, so i stick to Windows Live and Aim, but it would be great to talk to you again!

I am so so glad to hear you are well. I have been feeling very nostalgic about the fandom myself. I withdrew from it and now it seems impossible to come back. The people I knew have moved on to other fandoms, nothing seems familiar anymore lol.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Laur,

I really was not on much in 2008-9, just a few posts, so not surprised you missed them. Yes, many old friends have left the fandom or moved to another, favourite archives have closed. I am most definitely out of the loop as far as what is going on. Still, it is good to be back, if I can call it that. Back on lj for certain although not as productive. And, I have not written anything new, just finished a few old stories I started in the past.

I rarely use AOL so have not been on AIM. I believe I have Windows live but have a hard time staying logged in. Same with MSN. I have role played a bit on Yahoo with Jessie. With my old computer on the blitz, not sure how many of those windows I can leave open, but will try to catch you on sometime. Good to hear from you.

Mira
