This is spectacular. Utterly, utterly awesome. I love the angst, and the dark, and all the AU aspects that tie into the original universe. Hell, I just love this. It's everything I ever hoped somebody would do with this picture and so much more - and I've posted this pic in at least 2 other ficathons with no takers before this one so thank you thank you thank you for using it, you're amazing.

This prompt just grabbed me...thank you so much for posting it. I can't understand why nobody took it before. It just screamed twisty thorny AAAAANGST at me. So I did that, and it was fun. Now it's screaming twisty thorny wibbly wobbly timey wimey Gallifreyan ghosts and goddesses, so I think I'll do that too. That may be pretty close to the sum total of what I know about the next fic, but this picture just...can't stop looking at it.

I've been gagging for somebody to write for it like I said, and it's such a gorgeous evocative picture I was surprised nobody ever claimed it. The idea that it might have spawned TWO fics in one go is even better! I'd love to read the other one if you write it :D

The picture is actually of one of my livejournal friends who lives in Canada - she's got some amazing tattoos and she does awesome self portraits of them all the time. I love them, she's just so stunning and her tats are just beautiful.
