If facebook is going to use me for free advertising, I ought to be able to opt out. OR, if companies are going to use me to promote their products, I ought to be compensated.

Thankfully, I never "check-in" anywhere. Nor, do I "like" the kinds of things that would put me in their ads. But, I definitely agree. This is typical outrageous behavior from Facebook. I can't really say I'm surprised.
