  If this works as described, then this could be huge. Since one of our serious problems at the moment is being unable to get rid of waste heat, a way of converting heat to electricity is pretty much the holy grail.

I think there are still a lot of practical issues to solve, such as keeping one side cool to maintain the heat gradient, but it's neat to see another technique for clean energy.
