My 100 Super Junior Fics Challenge archive here

A/N: I wasn't going to post these today because I'm in a bit of a bad mood, but I thought I might as well.

002. Christmas, Heechul/Ryeowook

Ryeowook was happily sitting on the floor with a present in his hands. He didn’t know who it was from, but it was his first Christmas present of the year and that meant that it was very special. He was admiring how nicely it was wrapped in a nice sapphire blue - Super Junior’s colour. His eyes surveyed the gift from top to bottom, finally resting on the bright pink bow in the middle. This must be from Sungmin. He’s the only one who would use a pink bow! He chuckled happily to himself.

After a few minutes, Heechul suddenly came out of nowhere and snatched the present out of his hands. “Ryeowookah~ looks like you have an admirer!” Heechul jeered not unkindly at him. He shook the box forcefully trying to hear what was inside. Ryeowook could only look on while his hyung basically tore his beloved first present to shreds. Heechul was actually being quite careful however and gently threw the undamaged box to the younger. “Doesn’t sound expensive.” Heechul watched Ryeowook’s reaction carefully and when he was satisfied, left the room.

I suppose I should give my present to Heechulie hyung now. I won’t see him on Christmas day… even though we live in the same apartment… he‘s always somewhere else. Ryeowook carefully hid his first present and took his present for Heechul out from it’s hiding place. He went to find his hyung.

Ryeowook found Heechul lying with his stomach on the ground, playing with Heebum. He had bought Heebum a bright pink bow which Heebum grudgingly wore just to please Heechul. “Hyung,” Ryeowook stretched out his arms towards Heechul with his hands clutching the present. “Here is your Christmas present. It’s early because I never see you on Christmas day. You always seem to disappear…” Heechul didn’t seem to notice his presence, so Ryeowook just put the present down the ground and walked dejectedly away.

Heechul let the present just sit on the ground for a few minutes before picking it up to look at it. It could be seen that Ryeowook put a lot of thought and care into wrapping the present - more than usual. Heechul smiled. “Heebummie… looks like Ryeowook likes me.”

It was about 8am when Ryeowook woke up. It’s Christmas day! Merry Christmas everyone!!! He got out of bed and quickly got dressed and brushed his teeth; he eagerly wanted to open his presents. He found a pile of presents waiting for him outside of his door, from various Super Junior members and friends that he knew before his debut. He had long forgotten about his first present already.

He happily brought all the presents inside and ventured to open each one, slowly and carefully; he didn’t want to ruin the wrapping paper. He only remembered about his first present when he reached the last present to be opened - it was his first present! I thought I put that away…? To make sure that it was the same present, Ryeowook went back to his hiding spot to see if it was there. It wasn’t. That’s a bit weird… He carefully opened the present and just found a box with a piece of paper inside of it. He read the contents quietly to himself.

Ryeowookah, I’m sorry I haven’t been around and that I wasn’t able to buy you a fancy present this year. Come outside and I’ll give you my special present in person. - Heechul

Ryeowook was astounded. Heechul was the one who gave him his first present? AND he’s outside waiting for him to give him another present? This was all too surreal. He wasn’t sure whether to believe it or not. He went outside anyway, just in case.

He reached the front door of the building and rested his hand on the handle hesitating. It looked cold outside and there was a light shower of snow. What if Heechul wasn’t there? He took a deep breath and pushed the door open. As soon as he left the building and was out of the door, he was engulfed by a big bear hug. “Merry Christmas, Ryeowook! My present for you this year is my undying love!” Heechul beamed. “I love you, Kim Ryeowook, whether you like it or not.” Before Ryeowook could say anything, Heechul gently kissed the younger boy and held him tightly, not about to let him get away.

008. Locket, Heechul/Sungmin

I had spent the whole day looking for it; behind doors, under carpets, even in the refrigerator! But alas it was well and truly lost. Heechul would be so upset if I faced him without it. I didn’t want to see his big brown eyes producing that salty liquid that would burn if touched. I didn’t want to see his rage, ten thousand times that of a stampeding bull and thrice as angry as a hippopotamus disturbed from his sunny sleep. Oh no… that would be terrifying. I just couldn’t face him, but unfortunately, he found me before I had the chance to hide.

He met me with a big grin, stretching from one end of his face to the other. He was truly happy to see me. But his smile slowly turned into a frown when he noticed the absence of the thing he held most dear, missing from around my neck. Seeing the scared look on my face, he tried to hide his anger and merely pulled his face back into a smile, a smile so fake that I would’ve preferred to see him angry. He reassured me with calming words, all through gritted teeth, that it was okay - he could always get another one, but I knew that he couldn’t.

Heechul had given it to me so I could protect it for him. I happily agreed because he never seemed to trust me with anything. I could tell that it was some sort of test, but I didn’t know what he was testing me for. Determined to keep it safe I took it everywhere with me, never letting it out of my sight. Until that one slip up… when I couldn’t remember where I had put it down.

I put my hands in my pocket in exasperation, almost hoping that the thing was in my pockets. I felt something cold and metal against my fingers. It must be the thing I was looking for! I hurriedly took it out of my pocket, palms sweaty from nervous excitement, and marvelled at it’s beauty. I squealed in delight and rushed to find Heechul. He would be so happy to see it.

The chain dangled against my fingers as I clutched onto the locket, not about to lose it again, as I ran as fast as I could, looking through every room, searching for the one man that would be happy to see it again. He was coming out of the bathroom when I bumped into him, hot and sweaty from running all over the place, out of breath and panting, incoherent as I tried to force my words to come out. Not being able to produce anything that made sense, I triumphantly held up the locket to his eyes and waited for his reaction.

His face remained indifferent but his eyes told a different story. Still panting, I questioned him silently, eyes burning into him, demanding to know why he wasn’t jumping up and down for joy when I had just spent the last half hour running all over the house looking for him. He only said one sentence, just the one sentence, said so inaudibly that I really had to strain my ears to hear it before he walked away. “I’m glad you found your birthday present again, Sungmin… you should open it now.” I blinked a few times before I realised what he had said. Birthday present?

Inside the locket was truly something special. On the left panel was a picture of us that was taken on my birthday last year and on the right panel were the words, written in Heechul’s pink and scrawly handwriting, “I love you.”

A/N: I did have a person in mind when I wrote this. I just wanted to see if people could guess who he was. Did I manage to capture his personality okay? It’s kind of stupid, but eh… you’ll get over it… probably.

“I baked you something really special, hyung!” I rolled my eyes. It was probably a pumpkin cake, and I wasn’t in the mood for pumpkin. Nevertheless, I was still hungry and would eat it if need be. Sungmin quickly walked over to me, silently cursing the hotness of the freshly baked goods. He greeted me with a bright smile however and placed a plate and fork in front of me. “Now try it! I spent all day perfecting it.” I took one look at the mess on my plate and felt as though I was going to throw up. I felt so dizzy and so nauseous that I couldn’t even pretend to like it to spare the younger boy’s feelings. I threw up on the plate.

After about half an hour with Sungmin fussing over me in the bathroom, I started to feel better. “Sungmin…I…” I couldn’t help but cough and splutter. “I’m sorry, Minah… I just couldn’t take it. Maybe it was something I had eaten earlier?” I tried to reassure him but it was an outright lie. I hadn’t had anything to eat today. He looked at me full of concern. “Food poisoning, hyung? What have you had to eat?” His eyes were wide with worry and he kept checking my forehead for a temperature. “Maybe we should call the doctor just in case. I don’t want you to die!” I was grateful for his concern but it was unnecessary. “I think I just need to sleep Sungmin. I’d appreciate it if you just left me alone now.” The look on his face was so sad that I started to feel guilty for not being able to even try his food. I lumbered over to my bedroom and climbed into my bed, securing myself under the covers. It was a long time before I could get to sleep as the sounds of Sungmin fixing up the kitchen made me feel guiltier. It was only when I heard him enter the room and fall asleep on the bed beside me that I started to relax a little bit.

I woke up with the light of the sun across my face. I turned to look at my clock. 8:00AM. I groaned, it was still way to early to get up. I turned to face the other way to see if Sungmin was still sleeping, but he wasn’t there. His bed was empty. I quickly got up out of bed and ran out to the living room. It wasn’t often that Sungmin was up before me. I was about to start calling out his name when I saw him sitting quietly on the couch with Yesung. “I must be a really bad cook… don’t be stupid Min. I love your cooking!… but Sungie he threw up!…” I heard snatches of their conversation and started to think that Sungmin was better off with Yesung, or someone else who wasn‘t me. I was too selfish and didn’t treat him as well as he deserved to be treated. I decided to break up with him, but it had to be done in a way where he would get so hurt that he’d never want to come near me again. I had to hurt him this one last time so he wouldn’t be continually hurt again and again because of me. I went to have a shower and devised a malicious plan.

When I was out of the shower and had gotten dressed, I started to put my plan into action. He was still talking to Yesung, who was nodding indifferently. It looked as though this was the fifth time Sungmin had repeated the same line - that’s how much of a mess he was in - just because I couldn’t bear to taste his cooking. I ventured over the couch and sat on a surprised Yesung’s lap.

“Hey baby, it’s been awhile since we’ve been together, hasn’t it? I’ve missed you so much.” I nuzzled my face against his neck and placed a kiss of his cheek, all the while stealing glances at Sungmin. “C’mon babe. I have such fun plans for us today!” I got off him, grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door. Yesung was so bewildered that he just didn’t know what to say. I poked my head through the doorway and said pointedly at Sungmin who was still sitting on the couch in shock, “I’m breaking up with you. I want to be with Yesung now. I’ve been cheating on him with you; and now we’re going to have hot, wild sex.” Sungmin burst out into tears.

I led Yesung to my bedroom and locked the door. “Hyung… we’re not really going to have sex are we? I didn’t even realise you liked me in that way. But… what do you mean you’ve been cheating on him with me? We’ve never ever been together!” I laughed gleefully and clapped my hands together. “Hopefully now he’ll never want to see me again…” The smile on my face faltered. “I didn’t want to do this Yesung. But it has to be done to keep Sungmin being hurt by me. I still love him… but it hurts whenever I disappoint him. I’m too selfish - I can’t fulfil his needs… now let’s just get it over and done with, so if he asks you anything later on, you don’t have to lie.” I pushed Yesung onto my bed.

Sungmin was distraught. He couldn’t believe that I would do something so mean to him. He always saw me as loyal and faithful. He shook his head in denial; it just couldn’t be true! He ran to my bedroom and desperately clawed at the door. He then realised he had a key - it was his room too. He quietly opened the door not wanting to be noticed. It was mere seconds before he screamed and tore Yesung off the top of me. “Get away from him, Yesung!!! He’s mine!!!” His shrieks and screams were mixed with tears and sobs and it was taking him all of his energy not to pull a martial arts move on Yesung and kill him. “GET OUT!!!” Sungmin screeched at Yesung and pushed him out the door. I didn’t expect this sort of reaction. I had expected him to run to Leeteuk and cry his heart out for days. I didn’t expect him to fight for me.

His eyes were so red and swollen. He forcefully wiped the tears off his face and joined me on the bed, hugging me tightly. “I’m never going to let you go. Even if you sleep with a hundred men or a hundred women, I will never leave your side. No matter how many times you cheat on me, I won’t care because I’m never letting you go. You can have your fun, but at the end of the day, you’ll always be mine, and only mine!” He pulled my pants up from around my ankles and fixed up my clothing. He resumed his clinging position and looked at me determinedly. “The amount of hurt you dish out to me will never compare to the hurt I’ll feel if I’m without you, so bring it on. I’m ready.”
