Don't stop campaigning yet, though - there's a constitutional initiative on the November ballot to put the same law into the CA constitution: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2008_05/013728.php

You can contribute to groups like http://www.equalityforall.com/ who are working to prevent this initiative from passing. The opposition isn't sitting down - they're raising $10M for an ad campaign - so we can't either.
