He is more then two to close to three times your age. Also he seemed a little full of himself. Yes, he does good work, but bragging is not a nessesity to let the rest of the world know about it.

I did like what you had in the art show. I'll have to get measurements to commission a larger (longer) version of the garnet bracelet.

While there are times when I am perfectly happy to flirt with people several times my age, I prefer to be the one initializing it.
I definitely agree on him bragging about his work.

I believe my wrist is 6 inches around, but I'll need a measuring take to check that. Minus the clasp, it's about 3 stones an inch, I believe, so it shouldn't be too hard to size it up.

well, for the stones it was to see if what I have sitting at home would be useful. I have ~50 sapphires. A number of them in the .25 carat size. All are round brilliant cut.

for the item I would be looking at commissioning I was going to ask if amythest (or something purple) would be a possibility.

Those are probably 4mm, although they could be deep 3.5mm stones.

The first bracelet I did in that style was with amethysts. There's a seller on ebay who has 4mm amethysts, but I've gotten a variety of colors of lab sapphires from them (in the same batch, no less). Thaigem.com is my favorite, but they don't have any 4mm in stock right now.

ooh, didn't realize you were at Arisia, or in the art show. I looked around but I think I missed some stuff, and don't remember noticing your name - what did your stuff look like?

Amusing/interesting to see how you use "was hit on" vs. "was flirted with" - both passive, but with different implications.
