Now this is getting weird [curioser and curioser!]. Yesterday I had to see the doctor: I've been having high fever for 5 days, medicine proved to be useless and I still haven't got a clue what's wrong. If you don't have any other symptoms (except for those generated by the medicine), only the high fever, and it stays for another day, I strongly advise you to go take a blood test. I got mononucleosis in February and it wasn't apparent to any doctor until the blood test was made, and it was already too late -- I had to spend many more weeks recovering, and I'm still suffering from the consequences in my immune system.

I had mononucleosis back in 2001 - lasted for 2 months, since I didn't even recognize I had fever for weeks, just when I fainted at school. >_< And it's something you only have once in your life (thank G~d).
