Brie En Croute

So tonight is my second last night with my husband. He's leaving the country for several months and I have been trying to make every dinner special. He is going to miss our fine Canadian foods.

Tonight I made Brie En Croute. I think I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Oh jeez...have I ever told you how in love with brie I am? Well I am! And I think I'm going to go in the corner and cry now because I can't have any--the store is closed ;-(

I have never had something like this before!
I love being your friend, you are introducing me to new foods!!! First is was strawberry cobbler and now Brie....what is that?
Is it sweet or tart?
What kind of crackers?

Brie is a soft cows' milk cheese with a rind on it. The inside turns to heavenly melted goo when you bake it. It is wrapped in puff pastry and topped with sweetened nuts. You want to eat this with a good quality cracker. I usually go for the whole grain kind.
