[Caliban Leandros FST]: Fractured Fairy Tale

Mar 11, 2009 17:55

Even if you have no idea what's going on here - there is some fairly awesome music on here, if I may say so. Even if it leans toward the emo. No excerpts here, just the occasional brief explanation, but I'll let this one speak for itself.

Download zip here.

Goodnight Demonslayer - Voltaire
[Goodnight demon slayer, goodnight
Now it's time to close your tired eyes
There's devils to slay and dragons to ride
If they see you coming, hell they better hide
Goodnight, goodnight, goodnight
Goodnight my little slayer goodnight]

This one is for little-kid Cal.

Brother - Murder By Death
[I know there's better brother's but you're the only one that's mine
So brother, raise another pint
Rev up the engine and drive off in the night
I still look out for you no matter what you heard.
They can knock all of my doors down but I won't say a word.]

Cal/Niko, definitely. They'll defend each other no matter what. There may be better brothers, but they only have each other.

Monster - Meg & Dia
[Monster
How should I feel?
Creatures lie here
Looking through the window...]

Street Spirit (Fade Out) - Radiohead
[All these things in all positions
All these things will one day take control
And fade out again and fade out]

War On Drugs - Barenaked Ladies
[Won't it be dull when we rid ourselves
Of all these demons haunting us
To keep us company
Won't it be odd to be happy like we
Always thought we're supposed to feel
But never seem to be]

Soren Grey (Frequency Unknown) - ThouShaltNot
[She'll never speak your name
For fear of looking in
To the past that was
For that which might have been]

This one's for Sophia.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day
[I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone]

Emo Caliban is emo.

How Far We've Come - Matchbox Twenty
[I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Well I believe it all is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend]

Saturdays - Holly Brook
[Saturday what a day what a silly little day
Time to kill take a pill as I sit and contemplate
How I'd like to be around all the people in the town with their fancy cars and things
But I've got time]

The Libertine - Patrick Wolf
[The magicians secrets all revealed
And the preachers lies are all concealed
And all our heroes lack any conviction
They shout through the bars of cliche and addiction]

Half A Week Before the Winter - Vanessa Carlton
[I carry on, I carry...
All the weight of empty promise
As I stand swallowed by the light
Flickering above the highway
I hold my head and know the streets are mine tonight]

Me Against the World - Simple Plan
[I'm a nightmare, a disaster
That's what they always said
I'm a lost cause, not a hero
But I'll make it on my own]

Somebody - Bonnie McKee
[I lie awake
I left the porch light on
I hope it helps you to find your way
Outside
I hear the thunder roll by]

Can't Complain - Nickel Creek
[I made her smile I made her cry
I cleared her head and made her wonder why
I helped her live and made her want to die
But she can't complain, she can't complain]

Goodbye, Goodnight - Jars of Clay
[A flower for your vanity, a penny for your thoughts
About the world's insanity and how we've gotten lost
Strike up the band to play a song as we go waltzing by
And fake a smile as we all say goodbye]

The above three for Cal/George.

Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
[I took a walk around the world to
Ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere
In the sands of time
I watched the world float to the dark
Side of the moon]

Nemo - Nightwish
[Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I`d give my everything]

Writing On the Wall - Blackmore's Night
[You know I can read your mind and
You have been deceiving me...
Which face wears the masque this evening?
When will your true colors show?
Will they be as black as shadows
Hiding 'neath the rainbow...]

Overture - Patrick Wolf
[It's wonderful what a smile can hide
If the teeth shine right and it's nice and wide
It's so magical what you can keep inside
And if you bury it deep no one can find a thing, no.]

Jack the Ripper - Colin Meldy
[Crash into my arms
I want you
You don't agree -
But you don't refuse
I know you]

A Dangerous Mind - Within Temptation
[It's in your eyes, what's on your mind.
I fear your smile and the promise inside.
It's in your eyes, what's on your mind.
I fear your presence, I'm frozen inside.]

The above four for Darkling.

The Stranger - Billy Joel
[Well we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out and
Show ourselves
When everyone has gone
Some are satin some are steel
Some are silk and some are leather
They're the faces of the stranger
But we love to try them on]

Shorter this time, but I blame that on being sick and tired. Back to A Feast for Crows. *crawls*
