I'm very easy to please. If there is a scene of Merlin running and calling for the dragon, it's all over for me. I'd be happy if the whole series was just Merlin running and calling for the dragon. *cough* As you know, it does things to me too:D
Honestly, this is pure escape for me and I'm just here to watch Colin act his socks off and to ogle his gorgeousness. Bradley has really amped up his game this season and I've actually noticed him once or twice;)
I loved all the things you loved in this ep too. It wasn't my favorite ep, and there were definitely things that bothered me (Isolda dying being a big one and the way they handled it), but I am with you. I think they are treading a fine line and the magic reveal better happen soon.
Aithusa saving Morgana is definitely a WTF moment. Maybe we will see Morgana redeemed, as she is in the legend.

I don't know about the Aithusa thing. There was awe on Morgana's face as she watched him taking off. But he's so cute you can't help but look at him like that :o)
Hmmm, should the writers be reminded that the show's called Merlin?
I think they forgot this some time in series 3. All Merlin's there for now is to enable everyone else's awesome storylines to take place (and I'm saying 'awesome storylines' with some fairly heavy sarcasm). He didn't heal Isolde (even though he healed Gwen that time) because then Arthur couldn't learn about how love is more important than anything and how Gwen could be snatched away from him at any moment! /nausea

That's what I said in my entry: their plots are so contrived that they make Merlin acting out of character to serve them.

It didn't bother me as much in S3 because I thought that they would take care about Merlin's destiny in S4.
