Ooh, lovely! I have two questions: from your notes I take it this layout does not work properly in IE, is that correct? And would you object to me changing the header if I use this layout?

The layout wasn't tested in IE, cause I don't have it. But this browser doesn't read the css correctly, so I guess there will be some issues.

I'm not fond of alterations in my layouts, but in the end it's up to you. Just be careful, the header here is the newspaper and cup part, and the striped background comes in content part.

Ah, the margins on the sidebar and main content had to be tweaked to show properly in IE. I seem to have managed it, as you can see in my journal currently. I enabled the title and subtitle, as well, rather than creating a new header. This layout looks just as lovely without the newspaper and coffee cup. :)

The only thing I can't figure out is the footer, which stubbornly floats at the top of the content. I can't figure out how to tweak the code to fix it.
