I thought there would be but when I saw core 2 as a selectable style, I chose it, and then started editing the css (some classes are missing so I looked them up via the source code)
There were two issues - the navigation at the top and bottom (previous/next) cannot be individually disabled (which led to the fixed position on the right for now) and I couldn't add individual icons to the Parent and Thread links on the comment pages. Otherwise, it was really easy to work with :) And the classes made more sense generally than mixit (when I first saw the css sheet for that, I whimpered D:)
yes :) It is essentially LJ, but with a lot of the issues that people have been complaining about fixed. A lot of people have been planning on making the switch, since it allows you to auto repost your stuff on LJ.
