I have been working on a post about how I am really more of a dog person, but I had to scrap it. I shifted my animal-shelter working from Monday to Sunday (more time for driving lessons, and they needed people more on Sunday) and last week was quite interesting

It is very much a task to remind yourself: These are not my animals, I'm taking care of them for someone else. And I only go one day a week, which makes it easier to not-bond with them.

Except when they are adorable elderly dogs or headbutting cats, of course.
