Chapter 12
“That girl” Ryosuke said disgusted
“Ryosuke, you know it’s not entirely her fault” Daiki honestly said
“What are you talking about? I don’t even know when she became that rude. And to think that I like this sort of girl” Ryosuke said
“Selena, tell him the truth” Daiki commanding her
“It’s just that…. When she was in the hospital, I sort of slapped her and I said really mean things to her. I’m sorry Ryosuke. You trusted me” Selena truthfully said
“YOU WHAT?” Ryosuke shouted as he grabbed onto Selena
“Ryosuke, calm down” Yuto said as he gave him a soft tap on the shoulder
But what everybody didn’t notice was, Chii sneaked upstairs to comfort Ashley.
“Ashley, it’s me Chii let me in please” Chii begged
Ashley gave up and unlocked the door for Chii.
“Hey Ashley, I have no clue what happened back there but you can tell me anything”
“I hate Ryosuke and Selena. Seeing them together makes my heart be in pain”
“I’m sure, you’re just jealous. You like Ryosuke, don’t you?”
“I used to like him but I hate him ever since Haruka got swine flu. I would never be jealous of them”
“But why did you start hating him when Haruka got the swine flu?”
“HE FULLY IGNORED ME. Well he ignored the rest of us”
Without knowing the more Ashley talked, the more tears came.
“Chii, this is the worse birthday I’ve ever had”
“It’s not over yet” Chii said as he disappeared and in replacement Ryosuke was in her room.
When Ashley turned around and saw Ryosuke standing there staring at her…
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU EVER AGAIN. LEAVE ME ALONE, GO BE WITH YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND” Ashley shouted as more and more tears were falling out
“SELENA ISN’T MY GIRLFRIEND” Ryosuke shouted
“Oh, well if she isn’t then she soon will be. Congratulations, it’s my early one”
“I DON’T LIKE SELENA”
“Sure you don’t that’s why you protected her”
“She’s just a really good friend of mine”
“Well I guess we USED to be really good friend but I guess you two will make a perfect couple”
“Don’t you understand Ashley? I don’t like her, the person I like is you” Ryosuke said as he pulled Ashley into a deep kiss but Ashley pushed up away
“What are you doing? Are you trying to cheat on her now? Stay away from me”
“What do I have to do to make you understand?”
“Leave me alone”
Ryosuke tried practically everyway to get Ashley to understand. But none of them seem to work. Maybe you should try to make her not hate him first. But those harsh words of Ashley were making Ryosuke heart in so much pain. But soon Ryosuke started to understand that Ashley doesn’t want to see him, he slowly stopped going to her house trying to see her.
But there was only one person who knew why Ashley wanted Ryosuke to leave.
Since that day they both lived in two different paths not meeting ever until half a year later
Ryosuke received a phone call at 2am.
“HELLO, WHO IS THIS? IT’S 2AM, YOU KNOW?” Ryosuke shouted
“It’s Daiki, come to the hospital quick. Or else you might regret it.”
“What are you talking about?”
“ASHLEY! Come to the hospital if you still love her. She’s about to go through surgery”
Ryosuke ran as fast as he could to the hospital. He saw Daiki at the lobby.
“DAIKI, WHAT IS IT?” Ryosuke quickly asked
“She’s about to go through leg surgery. She got cancer half a year ago, the doctor told her she won’t be able to stay in this world for a long time. Months after months, she became weaker and weaker. But until last week, the doctor said there’s a new surgery that may make her recover but it’s never been tested. So she’s going to be the first” Daiki explained
“What? Where is she now?” Ryosuke asked
“She’s in that room” Daiki said as he pointed
Ryosuke didn’t know whether he was ready or not. But this may be the last chance for him to really see her. As he opened the door, he saw his friends surrounding Ashley but as soon as they all saw him. They quickly left.
“Ryosuke! Why are you here? I don’t want to see you” Ashley shouted
“Ashley, why didn’t you tell me? Why? I could’ve spent those six months with you, Why did you tell them and not me?” Ryosuke said tears were falling
“I said I don’t want to see you, Ryosuke!”
Ryosuke hugged her. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why? Did you think I was just going to move on with a happy life without knowing why you wanted me out of your life so badly?”
Ashley hugged him back as tears started to pour out.
“I didn’t want to hurt you, Ryosuke. I’m so sorry. It’s my entire fault. I’m so sorry that in the end, I ended up hurting you. Who knows maybe this surgery won’t be successful and you will never be able to see me again”
Ryosuke shut her up by kissing her deeply. Ashley didn’t push him back. Since it could be the last guy she kisses though this was her real first kiss. None of them wanted to stop the kiss but a nurse came and told them it’s about time.
