Summer Love 9/?
Ryosuke and Ashley would always hang out together; they will usually take strolls when the sun is setting watching the beautiful sun set every day. Other than that, they would usually hang out at the park every day. The park was like their little private spot.
One night after they took a stroll, they ended up at their park. They were sitting side by side on one of the steps on the jungle gym. They were looking up at the stars. Ryosuke lowered his head and looked at Ashley, the moon reflected her face. She looked so perfect yet nobody is.
He leaned in closer and closer until his lips touched hers. Ashley froze for a couple of seconds but when she finally snapped out of it, she pushed him away as much as she enjoyed it.
“What was that for?” Ashley asked
“Oh... I’m so sorry. I should’ve stopped myself” Ryosuke apologized
“RYOSUKE! You know you already have a girlfriend” Ashley half shouted
“Yeah but I also like you too” Ryosuke muttered the last part
“Huh? What did you say? Speak louder” Ashley complained
“Nothing I just said I know and I’m sorry” Ryosuke apologized again
“Come on, let’s go I will bring you home” Ryosuke said feeling the awkwardness
I should just confess to her when we reach her house. I just have to let her know before she falls for someone else. But what’s the point in her knowing when it’s like we can be together... maybe secretly but then I will be cheating on Haruka for real... Ryosuke thought
They finally reached Ashley’s house.
“Thanks for taking me home like always Ryosuke, bye” Ashley said as she hugged him and was about to walk to her porch,
“Wait” Ryosuke called out and reached for her hand
“What is it?” Ashley asked but before she could finished her sentence he pulled her into another hug
“I wanted to tell you this for so long now, but I wasn’t sure if I should. I think that it’s best if you know about it.” Ryosuke said sincerely
“What is it, Ryosuke? You’re worrying me now” Ashley asked
“I like you... I mean I love you” Ryosuke said honestly
“No you’re lying... you can’t possibly like me” said Ashley
“Ashley! I’m not joking. This is real. I’ve liked you even before Haruka came. Remember the first kissed that we shared? It started then well a little bit before but I wasn’t sure but after that kissed. I was sure that I like you and after all the fun times we shared... I love you” Ryosuke confessed
“No it can’t be true, you’re just joking me. I know it. I’m not going to listen you” Ashley said as she ran into her house as tears started to fall
Ashley didn’t stop running until she was in her room and made sure it was locked.
Ashley head was going through what just happened down there. Does he really like her? He can’t. He has Haruka. It’s not possible. It can’t be true. Even if it was, they can’t be together. Haruka would hate her forever if she finds out and she doesn’t want to ruin their relationship. It makes her heartbreak just knowing that he loves her back..
That night Ryosuke been trying to contact Ashley in every way possible to tell her it’s true. But after texting her so many times and calling her so many times. He gave up. He will just explain it to tomorrow. Since he will see her tomorrow right?
The next morning, when Ashley parents asked her what happened yesterday night? She just said she was feeling really tired. When they asked her about her plans today, she told them she’s feeling sick so she would be staying home and she also told them to not let any of her friends in as she doesn’t wishes to see them. Well there’s only one..which is Ryosuke. She just wasn’t ready to see him
As days past, everybody was beginning to be worried about Ashley since she hasn’t been hanging out with them for so many days now. Once in a while, they will try to visit her but her parents will follow as what Ashley said and not let them in. But there’s only one person who they cannot say no to, which is Selena. They’ve been friends for a great numbers of years, her parents love Selena.
Ashley was pretty surprise when she saw Selena walking into her room.
“You don’t even look sick” Selena said pointing out the obvious
“I’m not sick” Ashley said truthfully
“Then why aren’t you hanging out with us? Your parents said you are” Selena asked
“I just want some alone time...That’s all” Ashley said
“You can tell me anything, you know that. After all, we are best friends” Selena said
“Well…um…the other day when I was with Ryosuke..we were looking at the stars then all a sudden he kissed me. It wasn’t like those kissed I had before. It wasn’t an accident or anything. Later, when he walked me home and when I was about to enter my house… he told me that he loves me. But I don’t want to believe him. He said that he started having feelings for me before Haruka came but truthfully... I sense this is somewhat true but I still can’t put my mind to it that it’s true. Why would he even tell me now? When there’s no point? Why does he even like me when he knows he has Haruka already.” Ashley spilled out everything that on her mind
“Ryosuke seems to be a guy that wouldn’t be joking about this. We’re pretty good friends and why won’t you talk to him about it. You know, to find out if he really does like you?” Selena suggested
“But I’m scared... what if he really does like me” Ashley said beginning to worry
“Don’t you like him back? I can see it in your eyes when you look at him” Selena said
“Yeah... but even if we like each other he still has Haruka. Besides, it doesn’t matter” Ashley said
“If it doesn’t matter then why are you still at home not hanging out with us” Selena complained
After the best friends talked, Selena left Ashley’s house. The others made her spill everything out but she just said when’s the time is right, she will hang with us again.
Ryosuke knew it was his fault. His fault that she was hiding from him. Does she hate him now or what? How am I supposed to get her to talk to me? He kept on thinking the same thing over and over again until he got a called one day and forgot about the whole thing.
It was a call from Haruka’s parents. Apparently, Haruka caught the H1N1 flu (swine flu). Without thinking about anything, Ryosuke told the others, packed a couple of clothing, took his passport and headed for the airport.
What would happen next when Ryosuke forgets about Ashley and only cares about Haruka for the moment? How does Ashley feel now? Will someone help her get over Ryosuke? To find out wait until the next chapter comes out
