Yeah, I can see that site getting really addictive. There were I guessed because I didn't know them in English, but they were close to Spanish words (and thus Latin, I assume). Kind of a cool concept -- taking web advertising and converting it to rice.

As it gets harder (someone spent way too much time doing this, even if it is for a good cause) that trick gets less useful, both because I found words were more obscure and less like, in my case, French words I know and because the options get closer in meaning. However, I found that you could sometimes guess the root language of the word and thus deduce which option was most likely.
