Also HOLY CRAP you got to see the Swans live with Jarboe (it's not really the same without). I would be simply happy to get to see her by herself live one of these days.

That was 15 years ago -- I liked both times, but this one had a less ansty energy.

Yay!
I saw them in '97 for the Soundtracks for the Blind - Jarboe had toughened, giving the appearance of recent jail-time/beer with Diamanda Galas. Not sure if you remember me talking about "that one show so loud and amazing I wet my pants. It was *that* show.

Sounds like you had a spectacular adventure.

Next time they play, bring a MadLib and ask M. Gira to fill it out. Fun for the whole gang.

Ohhh it was THAT show. Duly noted on the Mad Libs. For when there's not enough time for I'm Going to Kick Your Ass.

In 1992 I went to a Swans show knowing of nothing but Saved. To say that concert turned me out doesn't begin to cover it.

The exit signs are the means of how to get people to drive in circles until the gates for parking once again are lowered and you actually have to pay though I found the whole thing to be hilarious and was giggling about it. Thank you for reminding me I need to send a comment about the "NO PASSENGERS" silliness. It almost seems like the Metro is trying to encourage ignoring signs and being a miscreant. Unless of course there is smoking, food, or drinks, then the boogiemen come out of the shadows to put the 'cuffs on.

The show was great, thank you so much for being the reason I was able to go and have a terrific time having my ears blasted out with glee!

Honestly, they are pretty apathetic about the food and drink these days.

Glad you had fun!
