My report on BREAKERZ's 2nd 幾千の迷宮で 幾千の謎を解いて mini live & handshake event 22nd Jan 2017
BREAKERZ released their 17th single Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite on 18th Jan & to promote the single , they did 3 mini live & handshake events .
Surprisingly despite being in the guys' fandom for a very long time , I had not attended a mini live & handshake event for their past releases .
Initially when my sister & I planned to go back Japan to attend the 1st instalment of BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- that took place last Sat , at that time ZAIN RECORDS haven't released details pertaining to Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite and the same thing goes for the 3 mini live & handshake events .
As per their past releases , I already had a feeling BREAKERZ would be doing another round of mini live & handshake events to promote Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite .
BREAKERZ have to do such promo events in order to drum up sales as all the while , their charting power/strength on Oricon has never been good .
Sure enough when ZAIN RECORDS finally released the 3 mini live & handshake event details , I was really stoked as I haven't experienced how was it like to such an event of BREAKERZ's .
My sister and I attended the 2nd mini live & handshake event which happened last Sun at Osaka's Ario Yao 1st Floor Red Court , which was 1 day after we attended the 1st instalment of BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- at Zepp Namba .
When I saw the dates/details for the 3 mini live & handshake events , it felt everything worked in our favour as both events took place co-currently in Osaka over last weekend .
Signs I took when we arrived at Ario Yao
At 1st , I thought last Sun's mini live & handshake event was going to take place outdoors but thank goodness that's not the case because I can't imagine something like this were to take place during Winter :x
I originally planned to buy Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite at selective Tower Records shops in Osaka but the ones my sister & I went to , they either have no more stock of the single and/or they ran out of the event tickets .
Hence the 2nd option was to buy Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite at Tower Records Ario Yao which we went there & bought 8 copies of the single .
Every purchase of Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite , I was given this green ticket which's for the handshake event
As I bought 8 copies , the Tower Records staff gave me 8 tickets ie. you can shake BREAKERZ's hands 8 times .
After that , my sister & I made our way to the 1st floor where Red Court was within Ario Yao .
When we showed our handshake event tickets to the staff manning the area , each of us were given this orange ticket
This orange ticket is needed to gain entry inside the area in order to watch the mini live . Even if people didn't buy Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite , they still can watch it from the 2nd , 3rd floors & even the escalators within Ario Yao x)
For fans who wanted to be way out in the front to watch the mini live , they had to go to Ario Yao at 9am to get priority ticket entry but I was told by my friend even if that's done , the number printed on the ticket would be random :O
Last Sun's mini live & handshake event started at 2pm . Everyone had to go to another section of Ario Yao to start queuing up to enter the area inside to view the mini live based on the number printed on the orange ticket .
Around 1pm , everyone was being let inside the area slowly & in an orderly manner .
The mini live stage
My view was quite good , I was smacked in the centre which I got a really good view of DAIGO when BREAKERZ came out eventually .
10 mins past 2pm , BREAKERZ finally came onstage 1 by 1 & they were wearing their Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite outfits/suits which made sense given that last Sun's mini live & handshake event was to promote their latest single .
Ironically I thought last Sun's mini live was going to be an acoustic 1 as they have done acoustic mini live for their past releases so it was a bit shocking when AKIHIDE & SHINPEI brought out their electric guitars onstage as sound wise , it did get a bit deafening haha
Unlike the 1st mini live & handshake event which was held on the same day as the release date of Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite which they only sang it during the mini live , for last Sun's mini live wise , they sang Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite & SUMMER PARTY .
I wrote in my BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- report that I was bummed that BREAKERZ didn't sang SUMMER PARTY the previous day but last Sun they made up for it as if not for SUMMER PARTY , I wouldn't have started this LiveJournal in writing/promoting about them x)
After BREAKERZ sang Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite , they wanted to start the handshake event as I saw on the handshake event ticket that everything was supposed to conclude at 4pm o_O
However everyone said they want BREAKERZ to perform another song & DAIGO commented that nobody wanted to shake BREAKERZ's hands x)
And as usual , DAIGO was being DAIGO as he really know how to work up the crowd . Even though the inside area was quite enclosed , DAIGO still made an effort to charm everyone , be it whether the fans were inside the 'arena' , 2nd , 3rd floors & even on the escalators xD
After the mini live finished , the handshake event finally commenced . There was some confusion initially because everyone inside the enclosed area had no idea how to queue up in order to go up onstage to shake BREAKERZ's hands .
But after a while , things improved as I guess the staff didn't had enough time to put the barrier markers .
My sister originally wanted to shake BREAKERZ's hands 3 times but in the end to be fair , we shook their hands 4 times each .
Before we went up onstage , I was really nervous if not terrified as I never done something like this & I was really worried I would blank out and/or don't know what to say to all 3 of them .
My friend told me that the staff can be quite pushy because you only get very limited time to say things to BREAKERZ during their handshake event but surprisingly , my sister was able to say quite a lot of things to AKIHIDE .
AKIHIDE was the 1st member that we shook his hands with , followed by DAIGO & SHINPEI .
The 1st round my sister & I went up onstage , we told each of them where we were from & they were all really surprised , especially AKIHIDE .
I said Hello to DAIGO using Mandarin . Along the way , DAIGO said I Love You , I Need You in both Mandarin and English to me & my sister ahahaha x)
As for SHINPEI , I said Hello to him in English & in return , SHINPEI said 'Thank you + Thanks for coming' to me back in English . SHINPEI's English pronunciation was actually pretty good .
The next 3 rounds we went back to queue to shake BREAKERZ's hands (we also saw 3 fans in the crowd that cosplayed & wore their YAIBA outfits . The 1 who cosplayed as SHINPEI looked really realistic) , we told them that we attended last Sat's BREAKERZ 10 Shunen 10ban Shoubu -VS- & it would be great if they could visit Singapore in the near future .
As for myself , I told BREAKERZ I supported them from their debut single until now .
Out of the 3 , I felt that SHINPEI was the most friendly (even my other friend said the same thing) . AKIHIDE was a bit reserved but he took time to try listening to what fans said to him while for DAIGO , I feel that only after a few rounds in shaking his hand then he would warm up to you subsequently .
Finally at 4pm on the dot , last Sun's mini live & handshake event concluded . I took this at the 2nd floor of Ario Yao , right after BREAKERZ left the stage
And before my sister & I left Ario Yao , we saw this on the way out which made me suspicious x)
Not so sure about the blue gown but the pose that the groom mannequin made (likewise the gloves) looked suspiciously like the same outfit that DAIGO wore at last year's wedding reception of his , haha

To say that I (so far) had the best experience in BREAKERZ's fandom pertaining to last weekend's events is an understatement .
Going back to Japan to see BREAKERZ perform is 1 thing but going back on the same week when their new single was released , followed by them doing mini live & handshake events , that doesn't happen everyday .
Likewise for me to finally make myself known to BREAKERZ (after stalking DAIGO for the longest time during DAIGO P every month) , I felt nothing but gratitude towards them especially since I have supported BREAKERZ for a very long time .
I do hope that my sister & I left an impression on BREAKERZ because my friends in the fandom who're non Japanese did attend their past mini live + handshake events so for me to finally experience how it's like to attend 1 , it felt great .
I look forward to see BREAKERZ again & most importantly , go for another mini live + handshake event of theirs in the near future .
