Ruby's obsession with Sam is way creepy. And yup, Sam is definitely on a slippery slope, making a weak attempt to send Ruby away and then at the end, telling her to take the man back. But it's such a contrast from Sam of earlier seasons who never would have agreed in the first place and probably would have sent Ruby away for good for even trying.
