JEE-ZUZ! Elaine just gets creepier and creepier and my desire to give Alec a big woobie hug grows with every chapter. I am a huge fan of all your work, and the continuing adventures of "Bad Stuff Happens to Alec" becomes more gripping with every chapter. You ratchet up the tension nicely, painting a very disturbing cage in which Alec is currently trapped. Thankfully Max and Logan are on the case and Alec is doing his bit too.

Damn it but Elaine is an interesting character! And Alec being concerned for Daniel and worring about peer pressure is *heart*.

O.K. I just realized that in this story you created more Alecs for bad stuff to happen to. Now this universe is "bad stuff happens to Alec and the guys who look like him".
I felt horrible for her leaving Daniel out in the forest alone. You got us to like the guy, made him somebody Alec could like and wanted to take care of, Somebody he could be like a big brother to. This bond made Daniel getting punished for Alec's ideas hurt more.
Also I actually feel bad for Gabriel. I was kinda scared of him at the beginning. But now, he is just twisted enough to be sad. He feels safe with Elaine and wants to go home. He is more like her pet, more scared of the outside world than anything else.
Finally, we are left with another great cliffhanger ending. Awesome.

Oh Alec! *hugs him* He starts to understand Max's ideas of your unit being your family. Starts to look at Daniel and see a kid who looks up to him, and Elaine uses Daniel's punishment to punish Alec as well. And poor Alec sitting in the dark waiting for retaliation from an unknown enemy. Waiting in the dark and thinking off all the possible punishments he could be inflicted with is torture in itself. And then when Elaine actually does act, it's classic torture style... but without any bleeding, because she's so classy she wouldn't want to mess up her pretty dress. Oh Alec.

I'm loving this series to bits. I can't wait to see what Cindy, Max, and Logan do and what waits Alec and Daniel in the morning!
