I see. I think I'm going to stay here until I get the gym badge. Usagi-san doesn't seem to have a preference for Violet over other cities, but he's not too keen on moving from civilization. [Misaki chuckles fondly.] I think by the time I get a badge, though, I might be able to talk him into moving on again.

[He wasn't expecting Misaki to notice. Besides, he'd told himself he wouldn't depend too much on others! Misaki didn't need him to add to his troubles, and.. and Misaki had someone he wanted to be with. Someone he'd missed and actually wanted to see.

Miles understood that feeling more than anything, and he'd be damned before he forced his problems onto Misaki's shoulders..]

[But he couldn't bring himself to say any encouraging words. "I'll see you then"? "Good luck"?

....What should he say? What could he say when he felt so close to crying again?]

[If it was a phone he'd have to show his hands. Nurse Joy's first aid had been overdone -- the bandages, wrapped too tightly, were aggravating the cuts more than they were helping, and so he had taken them off. This wasn't something he wanted to show Misaki.]

Er, no.. I'm still outside. [The hotel was still a little ways away..]
