Question

The other day I was handing my camera to my friend, and we both fumbled it and it fell. The lens popped into the zoom thingy, and I cannot get it out.
My grandparents paid about one hundred dollars for that camera (simple nikon digital camera), and I want to know if it's even worth being repaired.

It might be able to be repaired, but, really, might as well just get a new one. They come down in price all the time, especially if you don't need all the bells and whistles, just one you can get good snaps with. Hell, dig around Amazon, you can get them for pocket change.

I'm afraid that these days it's cheaper just to buy a new one than to get it fixed. I kind of threw my camera off a cliff a few months ago (it was an accident!) and the lens wasn't even smooshed, but the zoom mechanism never worked right again. I finally got a new one last week.
