I've been checking your blog for years. I enjoy the restaurant reviews and appreciate your perspective on food. All the same, I think you went a little thin here... what did you have at the Little Goat? Which ramen(s) at Dwarf? Outside of the Crusty Bun being "tasty" you said nothing about the food.
I really think you're doing a service - a great perspective with interesting commentary that doesn't seem beholden to anyone on the food you eat. Please, though, give us a little more.
Fair enough. I've expanded a bit above, and also added Famenas. Sometimes my writings are a bit sparse because it has been a while and I have trouble remembering anything specific.
If you want to know anything in particular, feel free to ask and we'll see if it jogs my memory banks.
Thanks for responding to my comment - I appreciate it.
I really didn't stop to consider the likely situation of you writing some or much of this from memory a fair ways away from the actual meal. That's a good point and makes me appreciate your effort even more.
So - completely unrelated to this topic, but if you like wings, and you like hot wings, where would you go in the city?
I sometimes make small notes to write about later, but I'm not as big a foodie as I used to be (as apparent by how far apart my restaurant posts are these days) so sometimes it's a half year before I get to it. Still, it's nice to know that people occasionally check in on this little corner of LJ. I honestly wasn't expecting that, as by this point everyone has moved to facebook or instagram or whatever. I treat LJ as simply a place to write things down as notes to myself.
I can't help you too much on the hot wings... but the couple places that come to mind that I like for good wings (not the cheap $0.35 wing options) would be Lovey's BBQ and Carbone.
