darren has some points there del, but do ignore his rather brash way of putting it.

i only want to say...

do you REALLY want a child like me *grins*

on the other hand, i figure parenting is a little bit like being an army officer. The more people under your command, the more discipling you need to have. The less you have, the more you can let people make their own decisions.
This is my reasoning for having less rather than more (also, ow), since i think that each child needs a different kind or level of disciplining, but that if you have a whole bunch, you have to be equal to all... see the dilemma?

and with one child, it is usually easier to have a closer more friendshippy relationship

none, but i'm an only child and i have a close relationship with my parents as do most of the only children friends i have, and i have a high proportion because they seem to be attracted to the dramatic arts.

i might not be a parent, but i'm not totally talking out my arse.

Darren: you are always negative! get some optimism, and children don't have to be bad or messy and you can be a good parent, it also helps if there is more than one parent per child.

Jen: Hey honey you are cute enough and I think that you were born unique your parenting had little to do with it. You, it seems, were always in control of your parents rather than the other way around. That is one of the reasons you are completely special. :)
