A well-stated essay.

Cheers...

I love the anecdote at the beginning of this, and it ties in so well with what else you have to say. :)

Thank you. I've been thinking about the judgement/love part of it for quite a long time now. The rest fell into place while my brain was freed up by "mindless" paperwork.

It took me a long time to understand why "tolerance" was not much more desirable than enmity. But once you get it, you wonder how you never did. I still don't love everybody - nor am I Christian - but I can extend understanding for things I know probably aren't wrong to the universe. Good entry.

Very nice. I think it is beyond everybody's perception to understand how God can love us as flawed as we are. I'm glad He does, though!

Oh most definitely. I depend on God to be completely UNfair. :)

Oh, definitely not fair. God isn't fair. God is just.

Tolerance assumes there is sin to overlook. LOVE denies the action of judgement at all, and simply calls on us to extend understanding.

This point is particularly clearly stated. So many people think they are following Christian teachings by being 'tolerant' while always still judging. But the gap between those two things, conceptually, is enormous.

I cannot imagine the bizarreness of having a random drunk person show up and want to use your bathroom! Though probably better than leaving them to their own devices...
