LJ Idol Season 6 - Week 2 - Uphill, both ways, barefoot

I'm almost finished with Tigger's Halloween costume; all I have left to do is stitch the frogs at the neck and chest. He chose black and white frogs, and I don't remember which he wanted where, so I shut down last night at 12:30am. I'm really pleased with how it looks; imagine the Death of ( Read more... )

You sound like a very creative person :) I am not a fan of buying costumes either. I can't sew, not do I have the creativity you do, but I usually try to throw something together that usually costs me less and is more unique. It makes Halloween more fun I think, especially when I know I won't be the 10th witch or slutty devil walking into the party

LOL! What a lot of frustration, but well worth it I'd bet. I need to look up how to do the bobbin on my machine. :)

I don't sew at all, but I remember the great Hallowe'en costumes that my parents made us as kids and this entry brought back the memories of some of the best of them. Thanks for a fascinating read!

Thank you! I still remember the year Mom and Dad helped me make a robot costume, and forgot about glue fumes after they attached foil to a brown bag for my head -- the glue was still drying when they put it on my head to figure out where to cut the eye holes. woooozy-kin

I don't much care for Halloween, (I swear it is genetic), but that is so neat how you make the costumes. You make great memories when you do that. Your kids will be able to talk about it when they're old. Ok I'm sounding incoherent. Bed time. Great entry though.

Heh. Maybe someday Tigger will be giving out treats in his "death of orange" costume. ;)
